SEMH offer

Helping your school to support children with SEMH needs

How we can help support

Eko Trust have a team of experienced system leaders, trainers and facilitators, who can support mainstream schools with the Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs of their children and young people. Working alongside you and your school, we can create a tailored programme of support that suits your school. Our work with you can help to underpin your school improvement priorities as well as reduce school exclusions.

Eko Trust’s bespoke support can benefit mainstream schools by working with them to provide:

  • the knowledge and resources to identify issues
  • planned strategies that support pupils to engage in their education
  • programmes that address the specific and individual needs of pupils and staff.

What you can expect

Here are some examples of what we’ve done before:

  • A whole school programme that supports children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing focusing on the effects of COVID-19 and the future
  • Identification/ assessment of needs to create individual support programmes
  • Working with parents and class teachers to deliver targeted support
  • Delivering SEMH training to class teachers to improve their understanding of SEMH needs
  • Support with implementing the Resilience Framework
  • Coordination with local specialist provision
  • Support with developing and obtaining EHCPs
  • Management of transition between mainstream and special provision
