Vitality, Optimism, Integrity, Courage and Equity

Our values drive everything we do

We are passionate about nurturing, growing and developing people, so that the children and families we serve have the best opportunities to thrive. We work together with parents – we know that no one knows their children like parents do. We want to excite and motivate those who work with us and create real joy around learning.

Trustees who will form the new Board of the Compass Eko Trust met last week for a superb session, with an inspirational keynote from Samira Sadeghi, Director of Trust Governance at the Confederation of School Trusts. Samira’s session focused on ‘stewardship’ of trusts and developed the future Board and Executive Team’s thinking on how to achieve ‘assurance’ at scale. The session has helped our combined leadership to consider the strengths of our respective leadership teams and how we will build on these as we merge together to form the Compass Eko Trust.

Working with Year 5 pupils from Gainsborough and Kaizen Primary Schools, THRIVE integrates arts-based Science and History learning with Newham’s diverse heritage and creative industries. The programme gives children the chance to work with local artists, connect with their local area, and experience how creativity can unlock new ways of understanding themselves and the world around them.
